Today 23rd of March has been renamed "National Day of Reflection", in an event spearheaded by the charity Marie Curie. Newport Bus is proud to be joining
in on the first anniversary of the first national lockdown in the UK.
As a symbol of the struggle that people are facing since March 2020, as a mark of respect to the people who have lost their lives to the virus, and in support of those grieving their lost ones, all our buses will bear a yellow flower. Today, our drivers have also been asked to stop at 12 noon for the national minute of silence as a tribute to all the keyworkers they drove to work and home this past year.
Our beautiful vintage PD2 bus will also be light up yellow tonight as part of the Light for Lives event.
We would also like to thank everyone for their effort in keeping each other safe, by following the COVID guidelines. We, in turn, are committed to keeping all our customers safe, by delivering a high level of cleanliness on our buses and premises, to prevent the spread.
Let’s get together on this day and reflect on this unprecedented time we're facing and hope for a brighter future.
