Cardiff City Centre Events

There are a number of events being held at Cardiff Castle and Bute Park this summer.

There are three types of road closures:

Principality Stadium - Full city centre

Cardiff Castle - Castle Street closed

Bute Park - Castle Street and North Road closed.

Cardiff Castle events do not cause any diversions for route 30 as the last journey into Cardiff operates via Queen Street Station and Callaghan Square. However you'll need to check if you are making connections with other operators' services in the city centre.

Principality Stadium and Bute Park events cause the following diversions and revised stops. Last year, the events at Bute Park and the closure of North Road caused considerable delays to services. Therefore, please allow some extra time for your journey.

Tuesday 16 June	Take That - The Circus Live	Principality Stadium	15:00 until last bus	Route 30 will start and end at Kingsway. These journeys will not serve Cardiff Bus Interchange, Customhouse Street or Guildford Crescent. Route X30 will continue to start and end at Greyfriars Road with no changes to the route.
Wednesday 24th June	The Cure	Bute Park	16:00 until last bus	Route 30 will start and end at Greyfriars Road, near the New Theatre. This will also include the 22:05 journey from Cardiff too. These journeys will not serve Cardiff Bus Interchange, Customhouse Street or Guildford Crescent. Route X30 will continue to start and end at Greyfriars Road but will operate via Colum Road rather than North Road. As a result, stops at Rosemont, Corbett Road and the Law Courts will not be served.
Friday 26th June	Teddy Swims	Bute Park	16:00 until last bus	Route 30 will start and end at Greyfriars Road, near the New Theatre. This will also include the 22:05 journey from Cardiff too. These journeys will not serve Cardiff Bus Interchange, Customhouse Street or Guildford Crescent. Route X30 will continue to start and end at Greyfriars Road but will operate via Colum Road rather than North Road. As a result, stops at Rosemont, Corbett Road and the Law Courts will not be served.
Sunday 28 June	Metallica	Principality Stadium	15:00 until last bus	Route 30 will start and end at Kingsway. These journeys will not serve Cardiff Bus Interchange, Customhouse Street or Guildford Crescent. Route X30 will continue to start and end at Greyfriars Road with no changes to the route.

Saturday 4 July	Pitbull	Bute Park	16:00 until last bus	Route 30 will start and end at Greyfriars Road, near the New Theatre. This will also include the 22:05 journey from Cardiff too. These journeys will not serve Cardiff Bus Interchange, Customhouse Street or Guildford Crescent. Route X30 will continue to start and end at Greyfriars Road but will operate via Colum Road rather than North Road. As a result, stops at Rosemont, Corbett Road and the Law Courts will not be served.
