Changes to bus services from 30 August 2026

We're making some changes to our services
From 30 August we’re making some changes and enhancements to some of our services. Many of the changes come as a result of feedback from our customers and staff. Some key features include:
- New 23:00 journeys from Newport city centre on routes 9C & 33
- Regular service to Trinity View in Caerleon on route 27
- Extra Sunday morning journey into Newport on route 29A
- Regular service into Gwent Europark on routes 74A/C
- Extra morning journey into Newport from Glan Llyn on route 74A
- New Sunday service on route 68
- Extra afternoon buses to Orchard Close on route A3
- Extra morning journey to Chepstow on route X74
- Extra morning journey to Chepstow on route C1
- Extra morning journey to Monmouth on route 60
- New services 413, 436, 448 & 812 in Herefordshire
- Reliability improvements on many of our routes
Changes in detail
| 6 | Newport – Alway – Ringland – Newport Retail Park | Minor changes to most journeys by a few minutes to improve reliability. In particular, on Mondays to Fridays the 06:30 from the city centre will depart at 06:22. The 07:07 from Newport Retail Park will depart at 06:58 with more time added to complete the journey. | Click here to download the new timetable |
| 9A/C | Newport – Newport Retail Park | On Mondays to Saturdays the 22:36 journey is amended to 22:20 with an additional journey from the bus station at 23:00 (route 9C). | Click here to download the new timetable |
| 27 | Newport – Caerleon | All journeys will operate via Trinity View with minor timetable changes Most journeys operate a few minutes earlier from Newport. This also means there is a co-ordinated 15 minute service between Newport and Caerleon and Caerleon and Newport alongside routes 29 & 29A | Click here to download the new timetable |
| 29 & 29A | Newport – Caerleon - Cwmbran | On Sundays there will be an additional journey into Newport departing Caerleon (Augustan Close) at 08:18. This follows requests for an earlier arrival in Newport. | Click here to download the new timetable |

| 42 & 43 | Newport – Newport Retail Park | Minor changes to most journeys by a few minutes to improve reliability. In particular, on Mondays to Fridays, the 07:29 journey will operate 5 minutes earlier. | Click here to download the new timetable |
60 & X60 | Newport - Monmouth | Minor changes to most journeys by a few minutes to improve reliability. In particular, on Mondays to Fridays, the 06:35 X60 journey from Newport is replaced by a journey at 06:25 operating as route 60. This follows requests for an earlier journey from Raglan and Mitchel Troy into Monmouth. The 18:26 journey operates 4 minutes later to improve train connections following requests. On Saturdays the 08:04 from Monmouth operates 3 minutes earlier. | Click here to download the new timetable |
| 66 | Monmouth - Hereford | Significantly revised timetable on all days to improve reliability with all journeys operating to/from Hereford Railway Station in readiness for the opening of the new transport hub. | 68 | Abergavenny – Monmouth | Minor changes by a few minutes to improve reliability. In particular the 07:05 journey from Raglan will depart at 07:00. New Sunday service. | 413 & 812 | Broad Oak – Wormelow – Hereford | New services operated under tender to Herefordshire Council. Minor timetable changes from the previous operator with buses on route 413 operating to/from Hereford Railway Station in readiness for the opening of the new transport hub. | 436 | Swainshill – Hereford | New Wednesday service operated under tender to Herefordshire Council. Minor timetable changes from the previous operator with buses on the morning journey extending beyond Hereford Shire Hall on request to Hereford Railway Station in readiness for the opening of the new transport hub. | 448 | Bredwardine – Hereford | New Tuesday and Thursday service operated under tender to Herefordshire Council. Minor timetable changes from the previous operator with buses operating to/from Hereford Railway Station in readiness for the opening of the new transport hub. | A3 | Raglan – Abergavenny - Brynmawr | All journeys will serve Orchard Close in Gilwern. As a result the last journey in both directions is revised by a few minutes to accommodate this. | Click here to download the new timetable |
| C1 | Chepstow - Thornwell | On Mondays to Fridays there will be an additional journey departing Thornwell at 07:41. This follows requests for a journey into Chepstow bus station to meet the 07:57 route C4. | Click here to download the new timetable |
| 74 & X74 | Newport – Chepstow | The 07:04 (schooldays) journey from Newport will operate 8 minutes earlier at 06:55. This journey will continue to serve Chepstow Comprehensive School. Following feedback about capacity, there will be a new journey from Newport at 07:25 operating through to Chepstow Bus Station (not via Chepstow Comprehensive). This provides are more convenient arrival in Caldicot for Caldicot Comprehensive School. These two journeys operate as one journey on school holidays. The 21:30 journey from Chepstow will operate 5 minutes earlier to arrive in Newport in time for buses leaving Newport at 23:00. | Click here to download the new timetable |
