Concessionary bus pass
If you are aged 60 or over in Wales, or, when you reach state pension age in England, you’re entitled to a bus pass allowing you free travel. You can also apply if you have certain disabilities.
Applying in Wales
In Wales, you can apply on the Transport for Wales website. You can also use their website to request a replacement passes or to change your details. For full details go to the Transport for Wales website or call 03003 034 240
Applying in England
In England, bus passes are processed by your local council. Some councils may offer enhancements to the basic scheme too. For full detail, go the gov.uk website
Using your pass
If you have a Welsh bus pass you can use any of our services, everyday at any time.
You can also use the pass to travel to/from England as long as your journey starts of finished in Wales. So for example you could travel for free from Chepstow to Bristol or Cribbs Causeway to Chepstow but not between Bristol and Cribbs Causeway
If you have and bus pass issued by any local authority in England, you can use any of our services in England all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays and after 9.30am on Monday to Friday.
You can also travel to/from Wales providing your journey starts of finishes in England. You can also travel anywhere on route 69 including Wales to Wales journey.
Some local authorities in England offer enhancements to the standard conditions.
