Route 19E replace by Route 18 and 19

4th Sep 2022 onwards

Route 19 replaces 19E. It will run more frequently and the journeys will be faster. Blaen-y-pant, Blackett Avenue, Edison Ridge, Oliphant Circle, Montgomery Road and Claremont are now on the new route 18.
This also allows us to use the larger electric buses to improve capacity and provide a more reliable service.
To enable connections to onwards journeys, specifically to St Woolos and the Royal Gwent Hospital, the 06:09 journey from Westfield Drive will run 8 minutes earlier at 06:01 to arrive in the city centre for 06:25 to make connections with other buses leaving at 06:30.
We’re adding new evening and Sunday buses too.
