Lloyd's Tour of Britain Cycle Race: 6 & 7 September 2025

6th - 7th Sep 2025

On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September 2025 South East Wales will host the Lloyd’s Tour of Britain. As a result there will be some description to bus services.

Saturday 6 September 2025

Route 60
1300 from Newport will operate direct to Raglan then normal route to Raglan to Monmouth.
1406 from Monmouth will wait for up to 5 minutes in Usk, until road is reopened.

Route 63
• 1040 from Chepstow will operate as far as Usk.
• 1200 rom Cwmbran will start in Usk at 1235.
• 1320 from Chepstow will operate as far as Usk.
• 1420 trip from Pontypool will start in Usk at 1442

Route 65 Monmouth – Chepstow
• 1206 from Monmouth will operate direct to Chepstow via the A466 Wye Valley Road.

Route 68
• 1221 from Abergavenny will operate the normal route to Raglan then via the A449 direct to Monmouth. Dingestow and Mitchel Troy will not be served.
• 1306 form Monmouth will operate direct via the A449 to Raglan then resume the normal route. Dingestow and Mitchel Troy will not be served.

Route 69 Monmouth – Chepstow
• 1110 from Monmouth will operate the normal route the Chepstow Racecourse then via Welsh Street to Chepstow Bus Station.
• 1206 from Chepstow will Welsh Street between Chepstow bus station and the racecourse.

Route A3
• 1300 from Brynmawr will operate normal route the Gilwern then direct via the A465 to Abergavenny. Govilon and Llanfoist will not be served.



Sunday 7 September 2025

Route 2 Newport - Gaer
• 1045 from Newport. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1145 from Newport. This journey will not operate.

Route 9A Newport – Newport Retail Park
• 1037 from Newport. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1137 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q7 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route ending at the bus station

Route 9C Newport – Newport Retail Park
• 1007 from Newport. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)1107 from Newport.
• 1107 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q7 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route ending at Queensway (not the bus station).
• 1207 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q7 then operate the normal route ending at the bus station.

Route 16C Newport - Bettws
• 1045 from Newport. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1145 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Q7 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route ending at Queensway (not the bus station).
• 1215 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q7 then operate the normal route ending at the bus station.

Route 19 Newport - Malpas
• 1024 from Newport. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1124 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Q7 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route ending at Queensway (not the bus station).
• 1224 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q7 then operate the normal route ending at the bus station.

Route 26A Newport – St Julians
• 1045 from Newport. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1145 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Q4 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route ending at Queensway (not the bus station).

Route 29A Newport – Cwmbran
• 1001 from Cwmbran. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1101 from Cwmbran. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1120 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q4 then operate the normal route
• 1220 from Newport This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q4 then operate the normal route

Route 30
In Cardiff, all buses will start and end at Greyfriars Road ALL DAY. Cardiff Bus Interchange and Lower Churchill Way will not be served.
In Newport
• 1025 from Cardiff. This journey will end in Newport at Mariners Green.
• 1125 from Cardiff. This journey will end in Newport at Mariners Green.
• 1125 from Newport. This journey will start at Newport Central Police Station (not the bus station)
• 1225 from Newport This journey will start at Newport Central Police Station (not the bus station)

Route 33 Newport - Duffryn
• 1100 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q4 (not the bus station) then operate via Stow Hill and Belle Vue Lane turning right onto Cardiff Road. Stops at Emlyn Street, Ebenezer Terrace, Central Police Staton and Royal Gwent Hospital will not be served. It will then operate its normal route but will end at St Paul’s Walk (Kingsway), not the bus station.
• 1200 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q4 (not the bus station) then operate via Stow Hill and Belle Vue Lane turning right onto Cardiff Road. Stops at Emlyn Street, Ebenezer Terrace, Central Police Staton and Royal Gwent Hospital will not be served. It will then operate its normal route

Route 60 Newport - Monmouth
• 0955 from Monmouth. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1100 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q6 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route

Route 73 Newport – Chepstow
• 1100 from Chepstow. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1208 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q4 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route

Route 74 Newport -Chepstow
• 1000 from Chepstow. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1100 from Chepstow. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1125 from Newport. This journey will start at Queensway Stop Q8 (not the bus station) then operate the normal route

Route R1 Newport -Risca
• 1035 from Risca. Normal route but will end at Queensway (not the bus station)
• 1115 from Newport. This journey will not operate.
