Meet 'Our People!' Our drivers are the face of Newport Bus, working hard to provide the best customer service in the transport community; representing Newport Bus, our values, and our commitment to you - our customers - transporting you to your chosen destinations in comfort and on time.

Every one of our bus drivers receives special customer care training, so they can look after your needs when you travel on a Newport Bus. As an important part of their training, they all qualify in first aid, as part of their ongoing Certificate of Professional Competence Qualification. 

As of March 2021, all Newport Bus drivers have undertaken the Dementia Friendly Awareness course, the first bus drivers in Wales to receive this special training, making them truly supportive of everyone in our community. As of 2024, at least 14 employees are also certified in mental health first aid, designed to offer effective mental health support to both customers and colleagues.

We serve the people of Newport and beyond, and it is vital for us to have a professional and meaningful relationship with our customers.
